# Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins
At SummerSlam, Universal Champion Brock Lesnar goes head-to-head with Seth Rollins.
At WWE Extreme Rules, Lesnar stunned the WWE Universe when he reemerged just moments after a grueling Extreme Rules Winners Take All Mixed Tag Team main event and cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Seth Rollins to quickly win back the Universal Championship, toppling the very Superstar who beat him for the title at WrestleMania.
The Architect faced an uphill battle to get another crack at The Beast since there is no longer an automatic rematch clause when a titleholder loses the gold. Accordingly, the best of the best in WWE descended on Raw the night after Extreme Rules to compete in a “Cross Branded All-Star Top 10 Battle Royal” for the opportunity to stand toe-to-toe with The Beast at The Biggest Event of the Summer. The combatants included Rollins, Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Big E, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Cesaro.
Out of the free-for-all would emerge Rollins, and the stage was set for a truly explosive confrontation for the Universal Title.
Don’t miss SummerSlam, Sunday, Aug. 11, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network at 7 ET/4 PT.

# Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Natalya (Submission Match)
As first reported by Postmedia of Canada, the Raw Women’s Championship Match between Becky Lynch and Natalya at SummerSlam will now officially be a Submission Match.
One day after Becky teamed with Seth Rollins and thwarted the challenge of Lacey Evans and her partner Baron Corbin in an Extreme Rules Winners Take All Mixed Tag Team bout, a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match took place on Raw to determine who will challenge The Man for the Raw Women’s Title at SummerSlam. When the dust cleared on that hard-fought contest, Natalya had outlasted Naomi, Alexa Bliss and Carmella to earn the right to try and unseat Lynch at The Biggest Event of the Summer.
Natalya is a third-generation Superstar who trained in the infamous Hart Dungeon. She has the scars from battle and an arsenal that includes the Sharpshooter, one of the most excruciating submission holds in the game. However, Lynch also lay claims to a tip-top submission, the Dis-Arm-Her. Hostility over which hold is more effective quickly riled up between the two Superstars, leading to several hostile altercations and, ultimately, it leading to their title showdown becoming a Submission Match for the ages at The Biggest Event of the Summer.
So, will Natalya’s experience and legendary training be enough to counteract the effects of Straight Fire? Or, will The Man make The Queen of Harts tap in front of her own countrymen and women in Canada?
Don’t miss SummerSlam, Sunday, Aug. 11, beginning at 7 ET/4 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.

# WWE Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton
Forged in the fires of a brutal past rivalry comes a SummerSlam WWE Title showdown of destiny between WWE Champion Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton.
Since winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, Kingston has had a target on his back with Superstars like Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler and Samoa Joe all looking to bring a swift and decisive end to his reign. But when Orton pinned the titleholder during a Six-Man Tag Team Match on the July 16 edition of SmackDown LIVE, it was instantly clear to Kofi that his SummerSlam opponent must be The Viper. Rather than wait for The Apex Predator to get to him, however, the fighting titleholder called him out and looked Orton dead in the eye.
Kingston knows the remorseless Orton like few others, having experienced his sadistic nature several times over the years. Though Orton is a Superstar with no conscience, the 13-time World Champion boasts a resume that speaks for itself, and Kofi is well aware of the dangers of stepping into the squared circle with such a deadly competitor.
Orton is still the same dangerous Superstar he was when they first collided, and spelled out that he holds no respect for the WWE Champion. In fact, Orton said he used his influence to hold Kingston down over the past decade. The Viper believes that Kofi is undeserving of the title, and is only holding the WWE Championship because Orton hasn’t decided to take it from him … yet.
Kofi has proven to be a far more compassionate and crowd-pleasing WWE Champion than his menacing SummerSlam challenger, and his title victory at The Show of the Shows did nothing to change his approach. He still bounds to the ring with the same youthful exuberance that he exhibited 11 years ago, he still doles out pancakes to his adoring fans and he’s still good for a quick-witted one-liner when he’s palling around with The New Day. Come bell time, however, Kingston puts on his game face and overwhelms foes with his incredible speed, deceptively stiff kicks and an eagerness to take to the skies when necessary. And just when you think his Cinderella story is coming to an end, the never-say-die Superstar kicks out of a potential reign-ending pinfall at the last possible millisecond.
Perhaps the only similarity between champion and challenger? Each man possesses a devastating finishing maneuver that can be executed in the blink of an eye and is almost always followed by a three-count: Orton’s RKO has resulted in his opponents laying eerily motionless on the canvas, while Kofi’s swift Trouble in Paradise kick has left many of his foes staring at the lights faster than they can say “New Day.” The Viper felt that on the July 23 edition of SmackDown LIVE, when Kingston dropped him with the devastating kick.
Which Superstar will land that decisive blow and emerge victorious? Don’t miss SummerSlam, streaming live Sunday, Aug. 11, at 7 ET/4 PT on the award-winning WWE Network.

# SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Ember Moon
Week in and week out, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley has established herself as a truly inspirational titleholder, most recently with a successful title defense in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross at WWE Extreme Rules. Up next, she will look to stop an absolute force of nature when she battles Ember Moon at SummerSlam. Could a championship Eclipse be on the horizon?
After Moon was challenged by Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville to find a partner to face the outspoken duo in a tag team contest on SmackDown LIVE, Bayley answered the call and helped The Shenom secure the victory in convincing fashion.
As the smoke cleared on the hard-hitting tag team bout, Kayla Braxton asked Bayley who her next challenger might be in the wake of her pay-per-view triumph. Responding to the calls of the WWE Universe, the gusty titleholder wasted little time offering The War Goddess an opportunity, which Moon accepted with a joyous “Hell yeah!”
Don’t miss what is sure to be a classic showdown at The Biggest Event of the Summer, Sunday Aug. 11, streaming live at 7 ET/4 PT on WWE Network.

# Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon
At SummerSlam, Kevin Owens will face off with Shane McMahon in a highly personal showdown, and if Owens loses, he will be forced to quit WWE.
The outspoken Owens spent the better part of the last several weeks bombarding Shane McMahon with a series of scathing tirades and some carefully timed assaults. After eating several Stunners, Shane seemed ready to address the KO situation on SmackDown LIVE, but the former Universal Champion released one of his antagonizing selfie videos on social media during Raw Reunion, challenging Shane-O-Mac to a showdown at SummerSlam. In the video, Owens said he would quit WWE if he lost to the former SmackDown LIVE Commissioner.
Claiming he was only accepting Owens’ challenge because SummerSlam needed to see the “The Best in the World” in action, Shane agreed to the match.
Owens maintains that Shane has turned SmackDown LIVE – and even Raw — into his own personal one-man show to the detriment of more deserving WWE Superstars. Can he turn The Biggest Event of the Summer into “The Kevin Owens Show”? Or will “The Best in the World” cancel his program once and for all?

# Trish Stratus vs. Charlotte Flair
Dream Match” gets tossed around pretty loosely these days, but how else is one supposed to describe a SummerSlam bout between arguably the two greatest female Superstars in WWE history, especially when almost no one saw it coming right up until the moment that the 2013 WWE Hall of Famer and The Queen crossed paths on the July 30 episode of SmackDown LIVE?
While joining longtime admirer Jerry “The King” Lawler on a special edition of “The King’s Court,” Trish Stratus simply planned to chat about Raw Reunion and touch upon the possibility of someday returning to the ring for another match … but plans are always subject to change in the unpredictable world of WWE.
Stratus was completely caught off-guard and didn’t immediately retort when nine-time Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair stormed her appearance on “The King’s Court,” nonchalantly downplayed Trish’s role as a loving mother of two and challenged her to a match at The Biggest Event of the Summer. When Charlotte made a crack that Trish should “go home and change diapers,” Stratus only briefly hesitated before breaking out her Atittude Era game face. Her response? A fiery stare that would send all but the bravest of competitors running for the hills and a challenge accepted.
During her awe-inspiring career, Stratus racked up seven WWE Women’s Titles, but she has only competed in three matches since 2011 (the 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble and a pair of tag team matches at WWE Evolution and the following night on Raw).
During that time, Flair has run roughshod through WWE, racking up championship after championship, competing in countless “first-evers” and defeating nearly every Superstar on the roster — all while carrying herself with an unshakeable confidence (or arrogance, depending on who you ask) that is unmatched by her peers.
Will the outspoken Queen strengthen her claim that she is “The Greatest Female Superstar of Any Era,” or is she about to be humbled by a heavy dose of Stratusfaction from the WWE Hall of Famer, who will have the support of thousands of Torontonians screaming at the top of their lungs for their hometown hero? Find out when SummerSlam streams live on Sunday, Aug. 11, at 7 ET/4 PT on the award-winning WWE Network!

# Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler
Goldberg shockingly emerged Monday on Raw with a simple message for Dolph Ziggler: “You’re next!”
Now, The Showoff will go one-on-one with the WWE Hall of Famer this Sunday at SummerSlam, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network at 7 ET/4 PT.
For weeks, Ziggler has been taking verbal jabs at the former WCW Champion amidst his tirades against legendary competitors returning to WWE, which The Showoff sees as taking the spotlight away from him. Goldberg had not been seen since his epic battle with The Undertaker at Super ShowDown in June.
On the Aug. 5 edition of Raw, The Showoff arrived to “Miz TV” thinking he was signing a contract to face The Miz at The Biggest Event of The Summer. But after Ziggler put pen to paper, The A-Lister said he was looking forward to meeting him in the ring next week on Raw. As a confused Ziggler tried to figure out what was going on, The Miz revealed that The Showoff should have read the contract a little closer, as he had just signed up not to face The Awesome One, but Goldberg! The Hall of Famer then arrived to sign the contract and send a warning to The Showoff.
What will happen when Dolph Ziggler stands across the ring from one of the most dominant forces in sports-entertainment history? Find out at SummerSlam, streaming live this Sunday at 7 ET/4 PT on the award-winning WWE Network!

# United States Champion AJ Styles vs. Ricochet
Reaching the top of the mountain and staying there are two entirely different beasts. At SummerSlam, Ricochet will attempt the daunting task of climbing back to the peak when he takes on the man who dethroned him for the United States Championship, AJ Styles.
Ricochet dazzled the WWE Universe when he captured the United States Championship against Samoa Joe at WWE Stomping Grounds. It felt like a transcendent moment in the surging Superstar’s career, but much like any young first-time champion, Ricochet quickly discovered that the differences between being “the hunter” and “the hunted” aren’t just old clichés.
In Ricochet’s case, the hunter was AJ Styles. And his pack was The O.C.
Styles and Ricochet have had several jaw-dropping encounters in the lead-up to their title match at WWE Extreme Rules, none more shocking than when The Phenomenal One reunited with Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows to beat down Ricochet ahead of their championship fight. Gallows & Anderson continued to rear their heads, playing a pivotal role in Styles’ victory over Ricochet for the title at Extreme Rules.
However, unlike many young champions before him, Ricochet refused to let the short title reign and punishment suffered at the hands of the veteran group deter him. Instead, the acrobatic standout bested several of Raw’s best in a grueling Gauntlet Match to earn another title opportunity against Styles, this time at The Biggest Event of the Summer.
So, will a hardened and battle-tested Ricochet reclimb the mountain en route to regaining the United States Championship by defeating Styles at SummerSlam? Or, will Styles, with his new demeanor and running buddies, prove that the mountaintop is property of The O.C. in which Ricochet is not allowed?
Find out when this major United States Championship rematch goes down on Sunday, Aug. 11, when SummerSlam streams live on the award-winning WWE Network!

# Finn Bálor vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt
Finn Bálor and Bray Wyatt are once again about to battle, but the Superstar Bálor will be facing isn’t quite Bray Wyatt.
Instead of the old-school Eater of Worlds or even the jolly, cardigan-wearing children’s television show host, Bálor will be squaring up against the horrifying, masked alter ego Wyatt calls “The Fiend.” One week after The Fiend seemingly broke loose from the Firefly Fun House and attacked the former Intercontinental Champion, Bálor asked for time to speak out on SmackDown LIVE. Bálor said he has stared fear in the eyes before, and would do so again, as he was challenging “The Fiend” to a match at SummerSlam.
In response, a cheery Wyatt, along with Mercy the Buzzard and Rambling Rabbit, responded from the Firefly Fun House. Clad in a red sweeater, the former WWE Champion spoke in a friendly tone and insisted that, while he and his puppet pals are big fans of Finn’s, The Fiend isn’t and accepts his challenge for SummerSlam. As a final word of advice, or perhaps a warning to The Extraordinary Man, Wyatt said that The Fiend is no man, but an abomination, and he remembers.
In three weeks, we’ll see what reward Finn Bálor’s bravery holds, if any, when he goes one-on-one with the abomination in The Fiend’s first match.
Tune in to The Biggest Event of the Summer to see who emerges victorious when SummerSlam streams live, Sunday, Aug. 11, at 7 ET/4 PT on the award-winning WWE Network.

# WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak vs. Oney Lorcan
The WWE Universe is in for an intense and hard-hitting throwdown from Toronto as Oney Lorcan challenges WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak at The Biggest Event of the Summer.

At WWE Stomping Grounds, Drew Gulak dethroned his former friend and tag team partner when he defeated then-champion Tony Nese and Akira Tozawa in a pulse-pounding Triple Threat Match. Ditching his campaign slogans and his obsession with ending high-flying maneuvers, Gulak is laser-focused on a singular goal – becoming the most dominant Superstar in the Cruiserweight division, a plan which came to fruition when he won the title. He once again defeated Nese to retain the championship at WWE Extreme Rules and has patiently awaited his next challenger. In the meantime, Gulak has defeated opponents such as NXT Superstar Isaiah “Swerve” Scott to display his supremacy.
However, during Gulak’s ascension, Oney Lorcan has battled his way through the ranks with his bombastic brawling style. Lorcan’s intense rivalry with Ariya Daivari culminated in a brutal Anything Goes Match that saw The Boston Brawler emerge victorious.
Claiming victory in WWE 205 Live’s first-ever Six-Pack Challenge against Tozawa, Kalisto, Daivari, Nese and Gentleman Jack Gallagher afforded Lorcan the opportunity to challenge Gulak at SummerSlam.
Don’t miss what is sure to be am unforgiving clash at SummerSlam, Sunday, Aug. 11, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network at 7 ET/4 PT!
